2026 DYMAT Technical Meeting "Dynamic testing and modelling of heterogeneous materials and their interfaces"
Heterogeneous materials such as porous materials, particle-reinforced composites, fiber-reinforced composites, ceramic matrix composite, cement-based materials, rocks and hailstones, additive manufacturing materials, etc. are widely used in various loading conditions and applications involving high strain-rates and strong stress and strain gradients. In such conditions, the stress field is no longer homogeneous at the REV (Representative Elementary Volume) scale and wave propagation may be affected by heterogeneities. Influence of these heterogeneities and their interfaces on the damage and deformation processes at microscale needs to be explored in view of better understanding their strain-rate sensitivity and the role of microstructural parameters.
This workshop aims at gathering senior researchers as well as PhD students studying experimentally, developing models and numerical approaches to improve the knowledge in this area.
2026 DYMAT Technical Meeting will have:
- 36 Oral presentations (20 mn including discussion)
- 3 Invited lectures (45 mn including discussion)
